A free webhosting service for elementary and high-schools is offered by SEI educational portal. The main objectives of this project are to:

encourage the active presence of schools on the WEB; transform the schools from WEB content consumer in WEB content provider
create a community of schools that are active on the WEB
encourage the collaboration of schools on WEB or by other Internet channels

Compared to a local solution, the benefits of the webhosting service offered by SEI educational portal are: fast access, availability and technical support.
