Within the free websites hosting service provided for the Romanian schools, the administration team of the SEI portal launches a websites contest. All the sites hosted by the SEI portal participate in one of the two sections of the contest, the elementary schools section or the high-schools section.

The contest has a phase online, in which the users of the SEI portal may vote for the sites and a phase in which the sites are evaluated by a board of specialists and which will be hold in November. At the end of each month, a price will be awarded to the recently registered sites with the best score. The first month in which the price for the recently registered sites with the best score will be awarded is March 2005. In this month, all the sites registered up to now will be taken into consideration.

The sites qualified for the final phase will be evaluated by a board of specialists according to a list of citeria (in Romanian only). These criteria follow to promote the quality of the CONTENT, as well as of the quality of the content presentation and of the tools used in this respect. A less importance is given to the spectacular look of the sites.
